What salons store about their customers

Salons use Groomer’s Day to keep:

When you book online or fill in a client form, you give these details to the salon. They use them to look after your dog and to send booking confirmations, reminders and receipts by email.

Photos

A photo is only shown on a salon's website gallery or shared on social media if the owner has ticked to agree. Owners can withdraw agreement at any time by asking the salon, and the photo is then removed from the gallery.

Emails

We send salons emails about their account, sign-ins and replies to their requests. For salons, we send booking confirmations, reminders, receipts and payment links to their customers. Salons can turn each type off. We don't send marketing to dog owners.

Who we share data with

We never sell personal data. We use these service providers to run Groomer’s Day:

Provider What for Where
Supabase Database, sign-in and photo storage Data stored in London, UK. Supabase Inc is a US company
Vercel Hosting the website and app [Confirm: global edge network, US company]
Resend Sending emails [Confirm: US]
jsDelivr Delivering a code library to your browser [Confirm: global CDN]
postcodes.io Turning postcodes into rough locations for travel times [Confirm: UK]
Stripe (once payments start) Taking payments [Confirm]

Where data leaves the UK, we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK–US Data Bridge, as appropriate. [Solicitor to confirm per provider.]

We may also share data if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, delete or move your data, or object to how we use it. Dog owners should ask the salon first. Contact us at [privacy@brand.co.uk]. We reply within one month.

If you're unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Each salon can only see its own data. Our support team can only view a salon's account when that salon has turned on support access, and each visit is logged for the salon to see.

Cookies and storage

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. The app stores a sign-in token and your settings (such as dark mode) in your browser so it works properly.

Changes

If we make important changes, we'll tell salons by email and in the app.
