These terms are the agreement between Alex Rose, trading as Groomer’s Day ("we") and the grooming business that signs up for Groomer’s Day ("you"). Groomer’s Day is for businesses, not consumers. By creating an account, you agree to these terms and to the data processing agreement, which forms part of them.

1. The service

1.1 Groomer’s Day lets you run your grooming business online. It covers your diary, clients and dogs, online booking, payments records, receipts, client forms, photos, reports and emails to your customers.

1.2 We may improve or change features. We'll tell you in advance about any change that takes away something important.

1.3 We aim to keep Groomer’s Day available all the time but can't promise it will never be interrupted, for example during maintenance or if a provider we rely on has a problem.

2. Your account

2.1 You must give accurate details and keep your password secret. You're responsible for what happens under your account, including what your staff do with their logins.

2.2 You must be at least 18 and running a business.

3. Free trial and payment

3.1 New accounts get a free trial of [30 days]. No card is needed.

3.2 After the trial, Groomer’s Day costs £24 a month, plus £12 a month for each extra branch. We’re not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added. Text message credits and any card payment fees are charged as shown in the app. [To finish once pricing is decided.]

3.3 If you refer another business and they become a paying customer, you both get one month free.

3.4 If you don't pay, we may limit your account to read-only after [14 days] notice. You can still download your data.

4. Your data and your customers

4.1 Your data is yours. That includes your clients, dogs, bookings and photos. You can download it at any time (Settings › Import and download).

4.2 For your customers' personal data, you are the controller and we are your processor, as set out in the data processing agreement.

4.3 You're responsible for having a lawful reason to hold your customers' data, and for telling them how you use it. You can link your own privacy notice from your booking page (Website › Salon details).

4.4 You must only share photos where the owner has agreed. Groomer’s Day records that agreement for you.

5. Using Groomer’s Day properly

You must not:

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules. Where we can, we'll warn you first.

6. Support

6.1 Ask us for help or a change from the app (My account › Ask for a change). We aim to reply within 7 days.

6.2 Our support team can only view your account if you turn on support access, and only for as long as you choose. They can only make changes if you allow it. Each visit is shown in your access log.

7. Payments to you

[Once Stripe is live:] Card payments, deposits and payment links are processed by Stripe under Stripe's own terms. Money goes to your Stripe account, not to us. Stripe's fees are taken from each payment.

8. Liability

8.1 Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that can't be limited by law.

8.2 We're not liable for loss of profits, business, goodwill or data, or for indirect losses.

8.3 Our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in that period, or [£100] if greater.

8.4 You're responsible for your grooming services and for how you treat your customers and their dogs. We're not responsible for missed appointments caused by information entered into Groomer’s Day.

9. Ending the agreement

9.1 You can close your account at any time. Paid plans end at the end of the month you've paid for.

9.2 We can end the agreement with [30 days] notice, or straight away if you seriously break these terms.

9.3 When your account closes, download your data first. We delete it within [30 days].

10. General

10.1 We may update these terms. We'll give you [30 days] notice of important changes by email.

10.2 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
